With the launch of its first Global Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP/Nasal Polyp Syndrome) Awareness Day in 2022, EUFOREA set out to raise awareness of this debilitating and widely underestimated disease. Through this campaign, EUFOREA not only aims to educate both patients and healthcare providers about CRSwNP and its comorbidities (asthma, atopic dermatitis, and allergies to name a few) but also on the profound disruption that this disease plays on both the physical and mental health of its sufferers.

The 2024 Global CRSwNP Awareness Day theme is ‘The Empowered Patient’ and this campaign aims to empower all patients to prepare to play an active role in their care through:

improving the availability of reliable information about the disease and its link to comorbidities
a practical guide to help patients prepare for visits with their healthcare provider
opportunities to advocate for disease awareness and recognition among policymakers
