ULANC Northern European Masterclass 2024

Next January 2024, ULANC (Upper and Lower Airways Northern European Consensus) and EUFOREA present to you the 2024 Masterclass on 'Primary Care Physicians and Nurses with Interest in Global Airway Diseases' taking place in Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark on the 19th of January with Prof. Vibeke Backer, Prof. Sanna Toppila-Salmi and Ass. Prof. Kasper Aanaes.

This basic course CME accredited (for 6.5 credits) in airway diseases (asthma, CRS and allergy) and aims to:

  • Raise awareness of the concept of global airway diseases about upper and lower airway conditions,
  • Offer insights into the impact of multimorbidity/comorbidities on patients when their conditions are not well-treated or controlled,
  • Identify clear evidence-based guidance for screening patients, including the use of scoring systems in global airway diseases, and determining when to refer them for both upper and lower airway conditions,
  • Develop an understanding of when to refer patients to specialist settings and recognize the secondary specialists in both upper and lower airway diseases.

Accreditation Statement

The ULANC and EUFOREA Masterclass on 'Primary Care Physicians and Nurses with Interest in Global Airway Diseases Copenhagen, Denmark, 19/01/2024 - 19/01/2024 organized by IVZW EUFOREA-The European Forum for Research and Education in Allergy and Airway Diseases has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 6.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Information on the process to convert EACCME® credits to AMA credits can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.

Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Information regarding the conversion of EACCME® credits

Credit will be converted based on one (1) hour of participation equalling one credit for all activities. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be required to access the AMA website at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applictations to obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions. Physicians and other health care professionals will be required to pay a processing fee to the AMA.
